Allan Mowat - Founding Partner
Allan received a B.Sc. with honors from Robert Gordon’s Institute of Technology in Aberdeen, Scotland and is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
Allan was one of the first in the world to achieve FileMaker 10 certification.
Starting his career as a design engineer for Marconi Space and Defense Systems and for the first 12 years of his career he gained experience as an applications engineer, software developer for automated test equipment, and sales support engineer while traveling the world.
During the last 25 years, Allan has held sales and development positions from Sales Engineer to North American Sales Manager. Gaining expertise in dealing with small businesses with limited budgets, as well as working with Major National and International companies that have purchased multi-million dollars worth of product. Allan’s background has allowed him to become knowledgeable on a wide variety of customer business requirements including sales, service, support, and manufacturing.
Alan Kicks - Founding Partner
Alan has been involved with FileMaker products since the very beginning. A background in Engineering with a degree from Steven Institute, he formed EMS Solutions in 1993 as a specialty software company serving the Emergency Medical Services arena, a personal passion of his. With over 37 years of experience as a EMT Instructor and EMS Responder, he brings an expertise and management capability in high stress situations to AL3 Technologies.
